General Description
The MAX8830 light management IC integrates a 280mA PWM DC-DC step-up converter, a 200mA white LED camera flash current sink, and four programmable LED current sinks. The internal 1MHz step-up converter features an internal switching MOSFET and synchronous rectifier to improve efficiency and minimize external component count. The camera flash output current and maximum timer is programmable through I2C. Each LED current is individually regulated to a programmable level (from off to 10mA in 32 steps) and is completely independent of each other.
