DESCRIPTION
The SP6683 is a high power current regulated charge pump ideal for converting a Li-Ion battery input for driving up to 8 white LED’s used in backlighting color displays. The SP6683 operates with an internal 1.2MHz clock, enabling the use of small external components. Output current can be accurately regulated by modulating the switcher between the charge pump and output capacitor. In shutdown mode, the SP6683 discharges the output to ground and draws less than 1µA current. The SP6683 utilizes 1µF capacitors to deliver up to 200mA current regulated WLED drive capability. The SP6683 is offered in 10-pin DFN or MSOP package.
