GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Z89332 Evaluation Board (Z8933200ZCO) enables
users to become familiar with the functions of the Z893XX
series devices in TV, VCR, and cable box environments.
No target equipment modifications are required.
The Z89332 Evaluation Board includes Z89331 OTP, pre-
programmed with sample code to demonstrate the Appli-
cations Programming Interface (API ) menu. Combined
with an approved universal IR remote control (not includ-
ed), the evaluation board connects to your monitor, which
then demonstrates the API menu. This evaluation board
and API menu also provide an easy-to-use platform for ad-
ditional code development when used with Zilog ICE-
BOXª emulators (not included).
The board provides all necessary signals for Z893XX op-
erations including Clock, HSYNC, VSYNC, and two I2C in-
terfaces. On-board I2C EEPROM, keyboard, and LEDs
simplify evaluation and code development. Flexible set-
tings allow execution of any userÕs code without modifica-
tions. This board features on-board NTSC/PAL encoder
and buffered RGB and Composite Video interface with in-
dependent color adjustments, allowing resulting picture to
be displayed on RGB and/or NTSC/PAL monitor, TV set,
or to be recorded on a VCR.
