Description:
Platinum Resistance Thermometers (PRTs)
PT 100 sensors (also denoted as RTD) are more accurate and stable than thermocouples and can be used over a lower temperature range. Sensors can be used over the range -196ºC to 550ºC. We have the capability to manufacture most designs of PRTs and can offer either fabricated or mineral insulated assemblies.
PRT Element Types
We use either thin film or wire-wound elements. Thin film elements are suitable for temperatures up to 450ºC whereas wire-wound bulbs can be utilised at temperatures above this range. TT Electronics offers PT100 elements to Class A, Class B, 1/3 DIN, 1/5 DIN and 1/10 DIN. PT1000 and Cu90 elements are also available.
PRT Sensors
PRT elements are supplied as sensors housed in a 316 Stainless Steel protection sheath (other options are available upon request) with standard diameters from 3 to 8mm. Sensors can be terminated in flying leads, cables, connectors or connection heads. Sensors are available as 2, 3 or 4 wire configuration simplex or duplex.
