Overview
The CD4066 circuit is a bidirectional analog switch (transmission gate) with 4 independent structures. Each switch has two input/output terminals (Y/Z) and an active high enable (E). When E is connected to VDD, a low-impedance bidirectional channel (conduction state) is established between Y and Z.
When E is connected to VSS, the switch is inactive and a high-impedance path (off state) is established between Y and Z.
CD4066 is pin compatible with HEF4016B, but the on-resistance is smaller. Also, over the full amplitude range of the input signal, the CD4066’s The on-resistance is relatively constant.
CD4066 adopts DIP14/SOP14 package form.
