INTRODUCTION
ST7588T is a driver & controller LSI for graphic dot-matrix liquid crystal display systems. It contains 132-segment, 80-common and 1-icon driver circuits. ST7588T can be connected directly to a microprocessor which accepts parallel interface (8-bit), serial peripheral interface (3-line or 4-line SPI), I2C interface. Display data stores in an on-chip display data RAM (DDRAM) of 81 x 132 bits. It performs display data RAM read/write operation without external operating clock to minimize the power consumption. In addition, because it contains power supply circuits to drive liquid crystal, it is possible to make a display system with the fewest components.
