GENERAL DESCRIPTION
   The Z8000 is a high-end, advanced 16-bit microprocessor that covers a wide range of applications, from simple stand-alone computers to complex parallel processing systems. Essentially a monolithic minicomputer central processing unit, the Z8000 CPU features a more powerful instruction set than many minicomputers. A generic architecture that improves throughput by avoiding critical bottlenecks such as rich resources in registers, data types, addressing modes, and addressing ranges, and implicit or private registers.
