5V ECL Data Separator

The MC10E197 is an integrated data separator designed for use in high speed hard disk drive applications. With data rate capabilities of up to 50 Mb/s the device is ideally suited for today’s and future state-of-the-art hard disk designs.

• 2:7 and 1:7 RLL Format Compatible
• Fully Integrated VCO for 50 Mb/s Operation
• External VCO Input for Higher Operating Frequency
• Anti-equivocation Circuitry to Ensure PLL Lock
• PECL Mode Operating Range: VCC = 4.2 V to 5.7 V with VEE = 0 V
• NECL Mode Operating Range: VCC = 0 V with VEE = −4.2 V to −5.7 V
• Internal Input Pulldown Resistors
• ESD Protection: > 1 KV HBM, > 75 V MM
• Meets or Exceeds JEDEC Spec EIA/JESD78 IC Latchup Test
• Moisture Sensitivity Level 1
