Description
The HM5054A is a complete single-cell Li-ion battery with constant current/constant voltage linear charger. Its SOT package and low external component count make the HM5054A ideal for portable applications. HM5054A can work with USB power supply and adapter power supply.
Due to the internal PMOSFET architecture and anti-backup circuitry, external sense resistors and isolation diodes are not required. Thermal feedback regulates the charge current to limit the chip temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The charging voltage is fixed at 4.2V, while the charging current can be set externally via a resistor. When the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value after reaching the final float voltage, the HM5054A will automatically terminate the charging cycle.
