Octal D-type Transparent Latches (with three-state outputs)

   The HD74LS373,  8-bit register, features a totem-pole tri-state output specifically designed for driving high-capacitance loads or relatively low-impedance loads. The high-impedance third-state and increased high-logic level drive gives these resistors the capacity to connect and drive directly to bus lines in bus-configured systems without the need for interfaces or pull-up components. This are particularly attractive for implementing buffer registers, I/O ports, bidirectional bus drivers, and working registers.
